Position Statement

I believe a dedicated bodywork practitioner can provide immense support to an individual’s mind/ body journey.  I believe that a dedicated client, when paired with a trusted practitioner, can foster immense personal change for the better.

"Where it is, it ain't"

This is a concept regarding pain in the body that I have much faith in. The way I understand it, is the body works like two kids in the backseat of a car. Kid 1 is getting poked by Kid 2, Kid 2 crosses over onto Kid 1's side, all of a sudden Kid 1 is screaming, complaining and crying out (that's the pain right there) and if I want the noise to stop, I cant just address Kid 1, I have to make Kid 2 (that's the source of the pain) behave! Through the application of bodywork rooted in this principle, and with your own willingnes to explore your body with me, I believe we can calm all the "Kids" in your body, treat pain at it's source, and use your evolving awareness to bring your being to a cohesive, happy whole. Light and grounded in gravity; balanced and reflexive; your body is a powerful healing machine just waiting to attain the healthy, easful state!

Breath is key

Breath is the direct entryway for awareness to enter the body. Breath is our inner tide and in mastery of intentional breath comes the capacity for profound change, evolution, and insight. Through the breath we refreah the body and release that which doesn't serve. The breath is our most valuable tool in the journey through the body/ mind.
